Baggage at the Door will will have a reading presentation on March 14, 2023

During the pandemic shutdown, Big Thunder offered an invite-only live-stream of the ONE Festival version of Baggage at the Door in April of 2020.

Baggage at the Door earned the Elsewhere Residency & performed at

the Blue Sage Center for the Arts in Paonia, CO in August 2019.

Presented as a community event, this performance was so well attended

that the Blue Sage had to get more chairs from storage!

Baggage at the Door was a final selection of the 2019  

the ONE Festival at the Teatro LATEA, on Suffolk Street in NYC.

This version incorporated direction and dramaturgy by Joe Langworth. 

​

Selections from Baggage at the Door were featured within the

#HealMeToo Festival's SELF/WORTH variety evening 

#HealMeToo invited community, conversation, and healing.

Hailed as ‘deeply moving’ with ‘infectious original songs,’ Dana Aber's musical solo show Baggage at the Door is a ‘disarmingly charming’ look at healing from trauma.

original art, this quirky and candid piece explores her attempts to break the PTSD trauma cycle and find courage to unpack her baggage and claim

Baggage at the Door is a wry peek inside the head of a seemingly well-adjusted trauma-queen— it marks the end (she strongly hopes) of a 7-year PTSD cycle of destruction and reconstruction.

With music written in collaboration with award-winning emerging composers, Baggage at the Door is an autobiographical solo musical addressing the critical moment when a trauma survivor realizes she may no longer be able to simply cope;

 when falling in love triggers her latent PTSD,

                 she might be f*#&ed
